Hummingbird Gemstone Cluster Dangle Earrings

Anna’s hummingbirds frequent the red flowering currant shrubs in my backyard, which I can see from my studio. They are vocal and territorial, and they delight me beyond words. These earrings were inspired by the vibrant colors of their feathers and the blooms they are attracted to.

Delicate, bright silver hummingbirds in my signature graphic style dangle from gemstone clusters. One earring features raw ruby and pink tourmaline. The other, peridot, green tourmaline and green garnet. Asymmetrical yet balanced. The bead clusters are on a gently curved, oxidized wire. The ear wires are also oxidized.

All metal is .925 sterling silver. The silver is certified 100% post-consumer recycled content.

Overall length is 2-1/2”; dangle is 2”. Soft plastic earring backs are included for security.

FLIGHT Collection: In the early days of the pandemic, I was mesmerized by the birds outside my window, envious of their freedom, inspired by their motion and grace. Their lives continued on as normal. My interest in the birds, bees, moths and butterflies nesting in and visiting my yard has only increased since then. Creating native habitat has brought more species each year. And increased my awareness of their presence.
